cursors are probably near the bottom of the list of priorities but i have a few little suggestions.
using a standard picture format is a good idea, but what about using png which supports semi-transparency? i ended up turning off the chunky-looking cursors' process to get my smooth old ones back.

i don't mean to insult anyone, but what does the #E cursors have that windows doesnt? they dont look as nice, cant be animated and its harder to change individual cursors. on the plus, the image format (not .cur) is easier to edit and customize.

i'm sure you guys could improve on the windows cursors but perhaps it isnt worth it at this stage and just use what windows provides.

Because in the end the animated cursors are in my view bloat, if you want bloaty cursors try Cursor XP. Alternatively disable the service.

if u guys like whats there then fine. I just think it's the only part of #E that is not as good as windows and i am happy with the cursors i downloaded from the internet. so i'll use them and u can use what u want.
my point was just that it might not be worth the effort to replace the windows cursors.

sorry if i offended anyone, and i'm happy to leave it at that.

I'd say its definately worth having the cursors functionality in #E

most people use #E to change the way windows looks. they are therefore also possibly bored with the windows cursors

however they might not want to have to go looking for cursors as well and are happy to have the shell provide new ones, so it all feels in-built etc.

whether or not the #E cursors are 'better' isnt really an issue. they offer an inbuilt integrated alternative which can only be a good thing. lets hope we see some more of them

Ok i like the cursors that match the theme color, i dont understand what is so nice about XP cursors. I just looked through the XP cursors and they are all pretty ugly and/or plain, in fact i dont think that they have changed since win95.

i agree, thats y i downloaded mine off the internet
i use volta rings set if anyone cares. they have alpha blending.

btw, is it in the end-goal to make it easier to change the individual cursors within a set? if i was to use the #E cursors, i hate thick i-beams and would want to change that back.

Create your own cursors for SharpE then it can be exactly what you want in a cursor. Then let us see what perfection is.
