The Media Controller module can be used to control different audio and video players.
This module is just a simple controller for Play, Pause, Stop, Next and Previous Title. No display of track name/length/album/artist and no playlist manipulation.

The important thing about this module is that it's supporting not only one player.
Right now support for the following media players has been added:
  • Foobar2000
  • Media Player Classic
  • Quintessential Player
  • VLC Media Player
  • Winamp
  • Windows Media Player

There is also a quick player select button so that you can change the controled player quickly. (for example when switching from listening to music in foobar to watching a movie with Media Player Classic)

Support for more media players will be added later
Install instructions and download location can be found here: http://www.sharpe-shell.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?3819.0

Feel free to post any feedback or requests!
Also give me name and download urls for other audio and video players which could be added

Tested and working with all currently available media players.

Requests:
* Foobar2000 autodetect of location
* Scan for players button in settings window that searches local harddrives for installations
* Toolstips for each button, including the currently selected media app
* More visible mouseovers for the buttons.
* Clicking play when the currently selected media app isn't open launches the app.

* iTunes support
* RealPlayer support
* QuickTime support

I was using MPC 6.4.8.4 and for that one the MediaController didn't work. Never bothered to see if the MPC I was using is the last one. If it always works why update Apparently 6.4.9.0 was released in May and the MC works for that one. In short:

MPC 6.4.8.4 : No
MPC 6.4.9.0 : Yes

Yeah just checked this myself,
you can see this in the options -> window under Keys.
With the latest version the Key IDs which are used in the window message have changed.
