Just a thought - it would be nice to have an introduction to what Carapace is and what it does for newcomers. I don't use it myself, so all you knowledgeable shell-swappers out there, post away!

Carapace is a great peice of software which in itself is nearly like another shell. It replaces the windows shell with an eye candyied interface which allows you to select another shell when you login.

For example you may have something like this:

SharpE
Explorer
Blackbox
Geoshell

You then select which shell you would like to load, or just wait and it will load the default. It should load your selected shell and everything should be as it was before.

Its a great way of your using multiple shells or just want easy access to load the windows explorer shell.

Hope that explains the most part of Carapace.

Don't get me wrong. Updating is always a good thing. Making it opensource is also a good idea. In my opinion as long as Sharpe and Carapace stay completely free then I am happy.
